Terms of Service

1. Who you are dealing with

Groundhopper (groundhoppermap.com) is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], company number [COMPANY / VAT NUMBER]. Contact: support@groundhoppermap.com.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Give a real email address — it is how we reach you about your account and your subscription, and how you recover a lost password.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One account per person. Accounts created automatically or in bulk will be removed.

3. Plans and prices

Prices include VAT where it applies. The exact feature list for each plan is shown on the pricing page and in the app, and is the authoritative description of what you are buying.

4. Payment, renewal and cancellation

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. A subscription renews automatically every month on the same day, at the price then in force, until you cancel it.

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage subscription, which opens Stripe’s own billing portal. Cancelling stops the next payment. Your paid features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for — we do not cut you off early and we do not refund part of a month.

If a payment fails, we may retry it and, if it keeps failing, move your account to Free. Your data is not deleted when that happens.

5. Your right to withdraw

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason.

We do not ask you to give that right up. If you change your mind within 14 days of your first payment, write to support@groundhoppermap.com and we will refund it in full, whether or not you have used the paid features. After those 14 days, cancelling stops future payments as described above.

6. What you record stays yours

Your matches, notes, photos and trips are your content. We claim no ownership of them.

You give us permission to store that content, process it and display it back to you, purely so that we can run the service. If you turn on your public profile, you are also asking us to show the parts described in the privacy policy to anyone who visits it. Turning the public profile off withdraws that permission immediately.

You can export your matches at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything in it.

7. Ticket photos

Upload only tickets that are yours. Do not upload documents belonging to someone else, and do not upload anything you do not have the right to store.

8. How you may not use Groundhopper

• No automated collection of other people’s profiles, and no bulk downloading of the site.
• No attempts to reach data or accounts that are not yours.
• No uploading of unlawful, abusive or infringing material.
• No reselling access to paid features, and no sharing one account between several people.
• No use of the AI features to generate large volumes of requests unrelated to your own football travel.

Paid AI features carry a daily limit so that one account cannot exhaust a shared resource. The current limits are shown when you reach them.

9. AI features come with no guarantee

Stadium lookup, ticket reading and the trip assistant are generated by an AI model. They can be wrong or out of date. Check anything that matters — kick-off times, addresses, prices, travel connections — with the club or the operator before you rely on it. Groundhopper is not a travel agency and does not sell tickets or transport.

10. Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable. We may take it down for maintenance, and we may change or withdraw individual features. If we remove something significant that you are paying for, we will tell you and, if you are not happy, refund the unused part of your subscription.

11. Suspending or closing an account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms other users, or is used to attack the service. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part.

You may close your own account at any time from Settings → Delete my account. If you are on a paid plan, we cancel the subscription first so you are not charged again.

12. Our responsibility

We provide Groundhopper with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for loss we cause by breaking this contract or by failing to use reasonable care, but we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for travel costs, missed matches or missed transport arising from information the service showed you.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.

Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export function exists for exactly that.

13. Changes to these terms and to prices

We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel before then without penalty.

A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION]. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there.
